About Beth...

​

Beth has a Masters Degree in Buddhist Pastoral Counseling and subtle body psychotherapy from the Graduate Theological Foundation and the Hartford Family Institute, as well as a BA from Vassar College.

She is also Certified in Somatic Attachment Therapy.

 

She is also trained as a birth doula and Birthing From Within® child birth educator and MotherWoman® group facilitator.

​

She is an ordained shuso with the Blue Mountain Lotus Society. 

 

Beth also has extensive training in theater, puppetry, dance, visual art and film making. She has studied with Double Edge Theater in Ashfield, Center for Theater Practices in Poland, Sand Glass Puppet Theater, Ricardo Puccetti of Lume Clown Company, and with LA performance artist Rachel Rosenthal.

 

Beth is a passionate activist for social and environmental change  and has been creating activist theater events for over 15 years in Northampton, MA.

 

Beth is also an avid visual artist and loves to create paintings, crankies, theater sets and puppets that are inspired by the Earth muses that she is deeply connected to in her garden and in the wilderness.

 

Beth and her husband, cellist Stephen Katz co-founded MuZen Theater. They live with their son in Williamsburg, MA.
