About Beth Fairservis, MPC
Beth has been counseling individuals and mentoring families for over 10 years in Western, Ma.
She has a Masters Degree in Buddhist Pastoral Counseling and Body-Centered Spiritual Psychotherapy from the Graduate Theological Foundation and the Hartford Family Institute. She is an ordained Shuso in the Soto Zen Buddhist tradition. She has a B.A in Philosophy from Vassar College.
She also is an approved InnerBonding® counselor and Birthing From Within® child birth mentor. She is a certified Mother Woman® group facilitator, and previously lead new mother's groups at Cradle in Northampton, Ma.
Along with her healing work Beth is a performance artist/activist and has been producing giant puppet events about climate change for 10 years, as well as teaching children how to use theater for activism.
Most recently she co-founded MuZen Mindful Creative Theater ( www.muzen.org ) with her husband, Cellist Stephen Katz. She is currently working on a book about mindfulness and creativity at their woodland home in Williamsburg, Ma.
